Helping bring new use to Jackson Ward corner

At Storefront for Community Design, we're working on a project in Jackson Ward, recently voted one of America's coolest southern neighborhoods in Southern Living Magazine.  As the new property owner of 618 N. 1st Street prepares a major renovation of this neighborhood corner store, we're preparing to assist with the layout of two apartments that will be above the commercial space.

Through Storefront's Design Plan program, property owners in the city of Richmond can apply for design consultation with an architect, interior designer, landscape designer or graphic designer.  The consultation is an hour of  your questions met with professional knowledge and experience.  Storefront does not provide construction documents or architecturally sealed plans; but we can offer a conceptual design, assistance with layout and space programming, and an action plan to get your project underway.
