Without the hundreds of hours donated by Storefront's, our programs would not be possible. Through Storefront's Design Session program, over 120 professional volunteers assist applicants with the first 10 percent design processes. For the other 90 percent of the process, the Directory for Design Community aims to provide a resource for aspects of design projects that go beyond the scope of Storefront's programs. Use the directory when:
Storefront staff determines that your project is at a point where the next phases of design should be initiated through professional services.
You would like to maintain a dialogue with Storefront, but can afford to hire a professional designer to initiate your project.
When projects need a push beyond conceptual and technical assistance provided through Storefront's Design Session program.

Explorers Studio was born out of my passion to communicate stories, educate and engage people, activate spaces and organize places for effective navigation. I am intrigued and driven by the power of and necessity for high-quality design within meaningful communication. With a background in architecture and a Master of Fine Art in graphic design, I am able to find unique solutions to varying design problems seamlessly weaving together two-dimensional messages and graphics with three-dimensional space and form. After ten years of professional experience I’ve learned to wear many hats as a designer, but instead of taking off one hat to make room for another, I stack my hats, tackling each design problem with an integrated approach.

Established in 1965, Glavé & Holmes Architecture is a nationally recognized architecture, interior design and planning firm located in Richmond, Virginia. Our regionally focused design practice has cultivated expertise in five specialty areas. Each area is supported by a studio structure – Cultural, Higher Education, Hotel and Home, Interior Design, and Urban Architecture – allowing us to provide the expertise necessary for a diverse portfolio that involves new buildings, additions to buildings, and renovations or adaptive reuse.
