6PIC Supplemental Workshops

6PIC Supplemental Workshops are rotating opportunities for teens to engage and learn outside of regular programming. These workshops fulfill interests expressed by the Changemakers Council (6PIC's teen advisory board). Each workshop is also vetted by this council.

These workshops are made possible through donation and fundraising efforts. You are able to donate to the workshop of your choice directly by browsing the menu of options below. At this time, 6PIC has the capacity to house 3 supplemental workshops per quarter. If you are interested, contact Jackie Washington at jackie@storefrontrichmond.org.

Lyrics and Beats

$5,500 will bring Lyrics and Beats to 6PIC

Donate Here Please memo "Lyrics and Beats"

Provided by Community 50/50, the 8 week after school initiative, Lyrics and Beats, is designed to help teens learn better coping and problem-solving skills through lyrical breakdown. Teens are connected to community mentors and have the opportunity to apply what they have learned through creative pieces displayed at the 8th week showcase. This after school initiative meets Highland Park teens at the intersection of their interests, strengths and needs. Currently, 6PIC does not house programming that is explicitly therapeutic. Lyrics and Beats offers this in a creative way!
