Storefront for Community Design does not have dedicated staff for events. For any event incurring significant space preparation, a fee will be charged for the employees' hours worked, which covers cleaning, moving furniture, and general maintenance.
Storefront for Community Design is a tenant of 205 East Broad Street, a facility rented by Virginia Commonwealth University. Although Storefront is an independent nonprofit, any use of our space must comply with the VCU Alcohol Agreement Form. If you have not received a copy already, please request the VCU Alcohol Authorization Agreement Form from Storefront. Allow a four week minimum lead time to process all requests. Depending on the nature of the event, renters must also ensure that an appropriate Virginia ABC license has been secured. Please consult Storefront for guidance through these processes if you plan on serving alcohol. Checking "Yes" below indicates that you intend on serving alcohol, fully understand the policies set forth by VCU, and have received the guidelines. *
