Submit a Form for Design Session

Knowing where to start on a project can be the most challenging part of a design project. For instance, do you want to repair your porch, but live in an Old & Historic District with very specific guidelines and not sure where to begin? Are you a non-profit looking to expand your facilities and in need of a vision, but do not currently have a budget for architectural services? Storefront’s Design Session can help!

Interested? Complete the following steps to get started.

  1. Review the Design Session Program Menu to see if your project or idea is a good fit for Storefront.

  2. Complete the form below to tell us about your project.

  3. Once Storefront receives your request, a team member will contact you to schedule a consultation to review your project goals.

  4. If your project is determined to be a good fit for Design Session, Storefront will pair your project with a Design Session volunteer.

  5. Let the design ideas start flowing!

Some projects may be eligible for a Design Session with the mOb studio, an experimental design studio of undergraduate VCUarts students who work on several projects throughout a semester and dive deep into a project’s conceptual potential. Project candidates for mOb studio are typically larger in scale and fit the semester timeline. Use the same form below to apply for mOb design assistance (check “work with mOb studio”).

Please note that we can oversee only a certain number of projects at any one time. Even if your project is a good fit, it may take us several months to schedule a site visit, plan accordingly.
