10 Years, 10 Stories of Impact series

Since 2011, Storefront for Community Design set out to make design accessible to all for the love of our city. We have convened over 350 low-cost design and planning assistance projects and over 15 design education initiatives to community members, youth and young adults, local businesses, non-profit organizations, and neighborhoods, with an estimated value of donated services well over $950,000.

To celebrate our 10th anniversary, our Board of Directors and team looked back at ten years of community impact and selected some of our favorite projects, programs, and events. Thank you to our Board of Directors, community partners, mOb studio collaborators, and team members who searched through old files, interviewed past participants, and wrote the stories.

Whether you’ve been with Storefront from the beginning or just discovering us for the first time, we hope that you enjoy the memories and accomplishments of our community, and we look forward to making many more with you in the coming years. Here’s to another impactful ten years!

Help Storefront do more good!

In honor of our 10th anniversary, Storefront has launched a campaign to lay the foundation of community impact for the next 10 years. Funding will be invested to incorporate new and creative ways of engagement and problem solving that increases access to design resources and advances equity in the built environment.
